ALL THAT LIVES
A sensory and embracing dance performance about how everything is connected
When darkness arrives, the pace slows.
The room becomes a place for immersion.
To let oneself be embraced.
An inviation to stop.
To feel that we’re not separate.
That we’re part of the body of everything that lives.
ALL THAT LIVES has the same origin.
A single life force that unfolds into a myriad of forms.
ALL THAT LIVES is carried by rythms.
Fast, like heartbeats.
Slow, like seasons changing.
ALL THAT LIVES is created by cells.
Cells that grow.
Cells that divide.
Cells that connect.
Cells, building worlds of flesh and leaves and wings and skin.
A tree, lifting its branching towards the sky.
A mushroom that secretly unfolds on the forest floor.
A bug hiding under a rock.
A bird, stiching the sky together with its wings.
A squid, writing soft symbols in the sea.
A child running.
A grown human…
A SENSORY, ALL-ENCOMPASSING EXPERIENCE
The audience steps into a soft and embracing univers in motion. You can sit or stand, lie down or walk, dance or simply exist. You’re in the middle of a singing sound installation where the room is brought to life by a living light- and video design and four dancers gives the place body and sensory presence.
The place is relaxed, peaceful and safe and filled with the intense, attentive presence of the small child. A place where everything is seen, heard and felt. Experienced with a clear mind, as if it had never been experienced before
We hope this performance installation will give everyone, kids and adults, a feeling of connection. That we’re not alone. That we’re a part of everything. And that it’s absolutely marvellous.
