Experience two leading choreographers in a double bill! High Tide by Emilie Gregersen and I QUERY / this body is not an answer by Fabio Liberti. An evening of solo performances exploring the body, desire and intensity.
ABOUT THE TWO PERFORMANCES
High Tide is a dance concert that explores the paradox of desire as a state of suspension – of holding on while simultaneously wanting to let go, lingering at the threshold of what is not yet graspable. The title refers to both the cyclical rise of sea levels and moments of heightened emotional intensity, when forces peak on the verge of transformation. Situated between the intimate and the grand, the real and the imagined, the work unfolds as a practice of listening within a dreamlike, raw, and tender universe. Through movement and voice, Emilie Gregersen invites the audience into a sensorial trip of affective and physical intensities, where desire emerges as a force holding both pleasure and pain. High Tide is shaped by heartbreaks, yearning songs and new beginnings.
High Tide is a solo created and performed by Emilie Gregersen, developed in collaboration with composer Karis Zidore, lighting designer Veslemøy Rustad Holseter, and dramaturg Lydia Östberg Diakité.

I QUERY / this body is not an answer
This body will be there forever. Not this one. But another. But the same. But different. Not at all. An arm. A hand. A leg. Skin defining the borders. Separating inside from outside. It is only material. I want it to look different. The form. This way. And not another. They are only parts.
Tools. To move.
Fingers, nails, veins, bones, teeth, saliva, pelvis, genitals. Only parts. Tools. To breathe. They could be free. And I did not want to be this. And I did not want to be something else. And I did not want to be anything.
A body standing inside its own image. A shifting figure where flesh and image fail to coincide. In that gap is an ever-changing body that refuses to stay fixed. It is what it is. It is everything. It is nobody. Nobody was always the problem.
Identity is a capitalistic demand.
This body is not an answer, but a field of possibilities
