Group behavior shapes us. We protect and organise ourselves in various groups, clubs, communities, and associations. But what happens when a person discovers themselves as a unique individual?
Choreographer Ceren Oran, together with a multicultural team, attempts to find an answer to this experience through dance and music. Five dancers and a musician perform their own experiences of belonging and feeling different. They play out the constant tension between their own self-perception and the community in a playful, humorous, and moving way.
As the dancers discover each other’s differences, the tension begins to unfold. Schön Anders is inspiring and entertaining for both adults and children aged 8 and up.
