WE CARRY ON…
WE CARRY ON… is a sensory and evocative performance with four dancers, about the life force that is inherent to all living organisms. A continuous movement that carries on even when everything else seems to disintegrate.
It is not a performance about survival in the classical sense, but about presence. A state in which we don’t necessarily start or finish anything, but instead stay in constant flux. Adapting, mutating, staying put and finding new forms.
WE CARRY ON… does not offer a clear-cut answer. Instead, it opens up a space in which movement, set and sound activate the audience’s senses, emotions and imagination.
You will find yourself in an abandoned space, seemingly wrecked, covered in seaweed and debris and an aftermath of unknown events, which raises the question: what has happened? Was this a manmade catastrophe?
All of this poses a sharp contrast to the scenery outside: the scenic Roskilde Fjord. This contrast reinforces the sense of a place in turmoil, where something old has disappeared and something new is taking shape, whilst everything around seems lost, rejected and defunct.
