Aaben Dans places a high value on artistic development. Both in our own productions and work, but also in collaboration with other artists.

Aaben Dans has resources such as a stage and technical equipment. The theatre’s employees have skills in organisation, technology/production, mentoring, artistic development processes and communication.

We are happy to share all of this, and when we share, we are enriched. So it is a dialogical process where the artists we invite into the house inspire us and we inspire them.

For the audience, it is a great opportunity to experience many different kinds of choreographic and movement-based expressions.

Specifically, we have two different programs that target artistic development, namely Aabent Rum and Aabent Laboratory.

In recognition of Aaben Dans’ work in developing the artistic growth layer, the Roskilde Festival Foundation has supported the theater’s artistic development work with a donation from their local growth layer fund.

We are deeply grateful for the foundation’s recognition and generous donation. And we are delighted that the donation will enable us to continue our important work with upcoming dancers and choreographers.
