Concert with The Emergency Aid Orchestra (DK)
The emergency Aid Orchestra is an orchestra that works to strengthen respect and empathy through music.
In addition to playing concerts with and for asylum seekers, the orchestra has taught children and young people from the asylums songwriting and how to to record their music. This has resulted in the release of ‘Refuge Records Vol 1’ with music by Milan, Ali and Saeed, who all have refugee background.
For SWOP Milan, Ali and Saeed will perform with a trio of professional musicians from The Emergency Aid Orchestra, where they will play the young people’s new, original music mixed with music from the Emergency Aid Orchestra’s repertoire. The music ranges from hip-hop and rap to a lyrical singer-song-writer vibe. The orchestra’s concerts are especially aimed at children and young people – but adults are also invited.
